GC60-24B Kubota part 2

rebuild

My Kubota B2100 came with a 5-foot GC60 mower deck and a GC60-24B B-series bagger (there is also the GC54-24B model).
I don’t know what they were cutting with this thing, but the impeller blade was worn down to nothing and there was an old street sign cut up and retro-fitted to the body of the bagger drive.

Here is the disassembled drive:

The housing for the fan was in really bad shape. I did not realize how many holes it had in it until I got the new one and put them side-by-side to compare:

New Parts

If you haven’t seen part 1 (the disassembly) : it’s here

I wound up ordering 4 parts for the bagger, and also needed a belt:

Kubota 76710-35023 HOUSING, BLOWER

Kubota 76700-41001 PLATE BOTTOM HOU

Kubota 76700-41102 FAN, BLOWER

Kubota 76730-42002 PLATE, BOTTOM

I got the belt from my local agri-supply. It’s worth noting that the belt was $4 for a 1/2 inch by 34 inch belt. From Kubota it was over $30, so it really paid to shop around.

Assembly was really just the reverse of disassembly, replacing all the stripped and broken bolts from taking it apart.
Having the Kubota parts diagrams was really helpful because it gave exact dimensions of the bolts that fit the various components. I replaced about half of the bolts and stuff during the re-assembly.

The thing sounds like a street sweeper now, and works 200% better than the old version.
